City Services Workshop with Aldermen and Councillors

The PMU team held a virtual workshop on 10 February with City of Cape Town line department managers responsible for the Philippi area. Our aim was to address service delivery challenges in Philippi and find ways for City and the PMU to collaborate on fixing them.

The session was attended by Alderman Grant Twigg (Mayco member: Urban Management), Alderman Rhoda-Ann Bazier (Sub Council 13 chair), and a number of Sub Council 13 Councillors.

Aldermen Twigg and Bazier opened the session with strong calls for cooperation in the face of the dire needs of the wider Philippi business and residential community. One such challenge is ensuring the safety of City maintenance crews that directly affects efficient service delivery in Philippi, and we explored the possibility of recruiting members of local Neighborhood Watch and Community Policing Forums to serve as escorts.

City Services: We can help you!

As illustrated below, we follow a simple step-by-step process for submitting C3 service requests to the City on behalf of Philippi businesses and residents who need urban management or utility services.

At present, we submit about one C3 service request every day, as well as tracking requests that haven’t been completed yet.
