A Hub for Growth, Business, and Innovation
The Philippi Agrihub is transforming into a multi-purpose center that supports agribusiness, job creation, and community development. Originally designed to serve local emerging farmers, it has now expanded to include businesses, training programs, and sustainability initiatives, creating new opportunities for social impact and economic growth.
Supporting Business and Community Development
Three key organizations are working together at the Agrihub to improve business support, employment, and urban management:

PEDI (Philippi Economic Development Initiative) – Since 1998, PEDI has helped local entrepreneurs through business development, partnerships, and economic transformation. A new PEDI office will soon be built to expand its impact.

PMU (Precinct Management Unit) – Focused on cleaning, safety, and urban revitalization, the PMU helps businesses access City services while creating a safer, more business-friendly environment.

PEP (Presidential Employment Programme) – Managed by the PMU, PEP has created over 2,600 short-term jobs since 2022. Workers gain skills in waste collection, safety escorts, and infrastructure support, improving local services and businesses.
